Yarrow is a perennial herbaceous plant of the family Compositaceae. It has a dense creeping rhizome, shoots underground, small stems, small alternate leaves ending in a spike, small white or pale pink flowers.
Vitamin composition
The composition includes:
- Essential oils;
- Coumarins;
- Hinagolide;
- Germacranolide;
- Alkaloids;
- Hamazulen;
- Vitamins B, C, K;
- Tannins.
Effect
It has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antimicrobial, antiallergic, hemostatic and wound healing properties. It is used for pulmonary, nasal, gastrointestinal and external bleeding.
Cooking method
Put 3 g of herbs in a glass or enameled dish, pour 100 ml of boiling water, close and insist for 15-20 minutes, strain.
Take it in a warm form 2-3 times a day 30 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years of age – 100 ml, children aged 12-14 years – 50 ml.
Side effect
With prolonged use, in some cases allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, rash, heartburn are observed.
Contraindications to use
Do not use with individual sensitivity, pregnancy and lactation, allergies, stomach or duodenal ulcer, diseases of the gallbladder and biliary tract, thrombosis, high blood clotting, children under 12 years of age.
