Motherwort is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Yasnotkovye family.
Vitamin composition
The composition includes:
- Iridoids;
- Saponins;
- Alkaloids;
- Choline;
- Flavonoids;
- Organic acids;
- Tannins.
Effect
It has a sedative, hypotensive, negative chronotropic and cardiotonic effect. It is used for depression, the treatment of anxiety disorders, sleep disorders associated with stress and overstrain, in the fight against edema.
Cooking method
3 g of herbs are placed in an enameled dish, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist for 15 minutes, squeeze and filter. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 100 ml with boiled water .
Take inside 1/2 cup 3 times / day for 1 hour before meals.
Side effect
With prolonged use, in some cases, allergic reactions, delayed body responses are observed.
Contraindications to use
Do not use with individual sensitivity, pregnancy and lactation, allergies, bradycardia, arterial hypotension, gastric ulcer and erosive gastritis.
