Chaga is a fungus from the tinder family that grows on tree trunks. Externally, it looks like a solid growth with an uneven surface of brown or black color. Chaga is found in birch forests of Russia and eastern Europe. Its range does not go beyond the boundaries of the birch range, ending in the transition zone from taiga to forest-steppe.
Vitamin composition
The composition includes:
- Agaricinic and humin- like acids;
- Organic acids – oxalic, vanillic, formic, acetic;
- Tetracyclic triterpenes;
- Pterins;
- Flavonoids.
Effect
Chaga has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antihistamine properties. It helps to strengthen and activate the immune system, accelerate regenerative processes at the cellular level, maintain normal blood pressure, relieve nervous tension, as well as reduce blood glucose.
Cooking method
50 g of crushed chaga is poured 0.5 liters of warm boiled water, infused for 2 days at room temperature, filtered, the raw materials are squeezed out, the volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 0.5 liters with boiled water.
Take the infusion inside 1/2 cup 6 times a day or 1 cup 3 times a day. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
Side effect
Allergic reactions are possible. With prolonged use, increased excitability, vegetative lability, dyspeptic phenomena may be observed.
Contraindications to use
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation, age up to 18 years.
