Currant is a perennial deciduous shrub 1-2 m high. Leaves are 3-5 (up to 12) cm long and wide, with jagged edges.
Vitamin composition
The composition includes:

- Carotene;
- Flavonoids;
- Anthocyanins.
Effect
Currant leaves work as antioxidants. They strengthen the immune system, restore strength after illnesses, relieve inflammation, tone up, help with colds, kidney diseases, cystitis, skin diseases, rheumatism, gout, as well as stress.
Cooking method
1 tbsp. l. of dry leaves pour 250 ml of boiling water. Insist, strain.
Take 3-4 times during the day.
Side effect
Allergic reactions are possible. Prolonged use may cause diarrhea and mild gastrointestinal symptoms.
Contraindications to use
Hypersensitivity, stomach or intestinal ulcer, hyperacid gastritis, urolithiasis and gout, oxalate kidney stones, glaucoma.
