Bird cherry is a deciduous fast–growing tree from the rose family, which can reach 8-15 m in height. The fruits have a spherical shape with a diameter of 8-10 mm, taste sweet, strongly astringent. The color is black, matte, less often shiny; sometimes with a whitish-gray or reddish coating on the folds.

Effect
The fruits have diaphoretic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, anti-scurvy, sedative, tonic and hemostatic properties. They will help with diarrhea, stomach or intestinal disorders.
Cooking method
About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of fruit is placed in an enameled dish, 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water is poured, closed with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water .
Take inside in a warm form 1/4 cup 2-4 times a day 30 minutes before meals. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
