Icelandic moss is a perennial leafy-bushy lichen. It attaches and grows on trees, stumps, soil with the help of rhizoids. It grows in open sandy places in pine forests, swamps, but always away from industrial pollution.
Vitamin composition
The composition includes:
- Polysaccharides;
- Lichen acids;
- Starchy substances;
- Iron;
- Iodine;
- Copper;
- Manganese;
- Wax;
- Gum;
- Pigmented substances;
- Vitamin B12, C.
Effect
Moss has antibacterial, immunostimulating, oncoprotective, antioxidant, tonic, anti-inflammatory effect. It is used for stomach inflammation, cough, bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma, pulmonary tuberculosis.
Cooking method
2 tsp. pour 1/4 liter of cold water with the top, slowly heat to a boil, strain.
Drink 2-3 times a day for 1 cup.
Side effect
With prolonged use, in some cases allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, liver problems are observed.
Contraindications to use
Do not use with individual sensitivity, pregnancy and lactation, allergies, high body temperature, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract during exacerbation, children under 1 year old.
