Oregano is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Yasnotkov family with oblong leaves and small, pinkish flowers.
Vitamin composition
The composition includes:
- Essential oils;
- Ascorbic acid;
- Vitamins A, K, E, C and group B;
- Flavonoids;
- Organic acids;
- Tannins.
Effect
Oregano has restorative, stimulating, diuretic, expectorant, bactericidal, diaphoretic, sedative, disinfecting and immunomodulatory effects. It is used for bronchitis, whooping cough, bronchial asthma, pneumonia, neuroses, insomnia, hypertension, atherosclerosis, menopause, liver and gallbladder diseases, menstrual disorders. Externally, the plant is used in collections in the treatment of mastitis, furunculosis.
Cooking method
About 10 g of raw materials (2 tablespoons) are placed in a glass or enameled dish, 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water .
Take inside in a warm form 1/4-1/2 cup of infusion 2 times a day for 15 minutes before meals.
Externally used for baths or in the form of lotions 2-3 times a day. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
Side effect
With prolonged use of oregano, allergic reactions are observed in some cases.

Do not use with individual sensitivity, allergies, pregnancy, lactation.
